Dr. Lam was born in Vancouver, Canada and raised in Seattle, WA. She attended college the University of Washington where she studied microbiology and human rights. She remained in Seattle and earned her medical degree from the University of Washington. She became interested in ophthalmology during her involvement with Sight Savers, a program aimed at providing free eye screenings in underserved communities. She completed her transitional internship at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center and was happy to return to the beautiful Pacific Northwest for ophthalmology residency. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, hiking, yoga, barre, photography, exploring Seattle's food culture and watching Seahawks and Mariners games.
