Biography

Anthony Chung, MD, joined the University of Washington in September 2023. He practices comprehensive ophthalmology and specializes in cataract surgery. Dr. Chung is an assistant professor at the University of Washington School of Medicine and is passionate about surgical education.

Dr. Chung was born and raised in Ames, Iowa. He attended the University of Iowa, where he obtained his B.S. with honors in psychology and a minor in biology. He then received his medical degree from the Carver College of Medicine at the University of Iowa. He completed his internship in internal medicine and residency in ophthalmology at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

Dr. Chung is an avid cook and enjoys traveling, hiking, and entertaining his two daughters with his wife.
