Dr. Hanna was born in Goleta, California and raised in Northern California. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of California at Davis, where he later attended medical school. He left his West Coast roots for an internship in internal medicine and residency Ophthalmology at Penn State. He also completed a fellowship in Ophthalmic Pathology at the Harvard Medical School.
