A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Kathryn Pepple, MD, PhD investigating the mechanisms driving the innate and adaptive immune cell response in models of uveitis (ocular inflammation).

Work will involve multiparameter flow cytometry analysis of intraocular and systemic immune cell populations, Luminex multiplex cytokine analysis, and longitudinal in vivo bioluminescence analysis of ocular inflammation in addition to standard molecular biology and in vitro techniques.

This position requires PhD level training in immunology or a related field and a track record of publishing high-quality original research.

Experience in standard immune assays and the use of animal models is preferred but not required. The successful applicant will join a collaborative and dynamic research environment, and will be able to take advantage of the extremely collegial surroundings provided by the UW’s Departments of Ophthalmology, Immunology, and Rheumatology and the thriving research environment in Seattle.

Applications should be sent by email to Dr. Pepple at kpepple@uw.edu. Applicants are requested to send a cover letter, CV, representative publications, and names and contact information of three reference.
