Dr. Angel was born and raised in Tennessee.  She went to the University of Florida and  earned her bachelor’s degree at the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee.  SCO is where she also completed her optometric degree. After completing her residency in Ocular Disease at the Omni Eye Services of Memphis, she went on to become the clinical director of Omni Eye Services and the Director of Refractive Services at TLC Laser Eye Centers. Prior to joining UW Medicine as a teaching associate in 2012, Dr. Angel had been in private practice for 15 years, primarily in the Seattle area. Her clinical focus is on corneal disease.

Clinical Interests

Dr. Angel’s clinical interests include comprehensive optometry and baseline dilated fundus exam for patients diagnosed with systemic diseases. She enjoys treating blepharitis, meibomian gland disease and dry eyes.
