Barry Anton, Ph.D., ABPP
Barry Anton, Ph.D., ABPP, is Distinguished Professor of Psychology, Emeritus at the University of Puget Sound, where he taught for over three decades. He is a Board-Certified Child and Adolescent Clinical Psychologist who founded Rainier Behavior Health, a multidisciplinary mental health clinic in Tacoma.
Dr. Anton was president of the American Psychological Association in 2015 and has been active in public policy on mental health at the local and national levels. In addition to his professional interests, Dr. Anton serves on the Board of Directors of the Museum of Glass, as a Board Member on the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, and as an advisor for the American Epilepsy Society CDC grant on disparities in epilepsy care.
Dr. Anton enjoys the outdoors, especially hiking, cycling, and traveling while learning about different cultures.
