Evelyn Jung

Evelyn was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. She received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Secondary Teaching Certificate from Portland State University.

She received her Master of Education from the University of Washington with an emphasis in Adult Education. Work experiences include teaching, counseling and coaching with over 40 years in the field of Human Resources in Portland, Oregon, Seattle, Everett, Bellevue, Washington and Philadelphia, Pa.

Having had multiple surgeries for various eye diseases and having received excellent care and treatment from the UW Medicine Eye Institute, Evelyn feels strongly about being a volunteer for the Eye Institute to communicate, educate and connect with individuals in various communities.

Her commitment is to advocate and heighten awareness about the medical advances, research breakthroughs, and use of state-of-the-art technology to treat and improve the outcomes for eye diseases that can directly affect an individual’s quality of life and wellbeing.

Ev enjoys being active (Yoga/Mindfulness, Zumba, Weights) and believes in finding ways to have a healthy lifestyle by choosing priorities that help achieve your personal goals.
