Juliana Gensheimer

Juliana grew up in Amherst, MA. She received a B.A. in Public Policy from Vanderbilt University and is currently pursuing an MBA at Berkeley’s Haas School of Business. This summer, Juliana lived in Seattle and worked at Amazon on a team that will provide satellite internet to unserved and underserved communities worldwide.

Juliana started to see Dr. Van Gelder for uveitis as a teenager. She considers herself extremely lucky for the excellent eye care she received and for the consideration that Dr. Van Gelder shows every patient. Juliana is now in remission and passionate about helping end preventable blindness. She is excited to raise awareness of the visual research efforts and patient care at the Eye Institute.
