Alexandra Van Brummen, MD

Oculoplastics Fellow

Dr. Van Brummen was raised in Jakarta, Indonesia until she was six years old, and spent the remainder of her childhood in Houston, Texas. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with degrees in Honors Biology and Anthropology and a minor in French. Afterwards, she attended medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. It was there where she first became interested in ophthalmology after seeing 30-minute cataract surgeries drastically improve patient lives. She finished her intern year at the University of Texas at Austin’s Dell Seton Internal Medicine program and is excited to move to Seattle and join her husband who is currently working for Amazon. Alexa enjoys hiking with her dog and husband, trying new restaurants, going to museums, and watching the Houston Rockets basketball team in her free time.
