Biography

Dr. Ward was born and raised in Plano, Texas. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma, where he studied Chemical Engineering. Afterward, he returned to Texas, where he discovered his love of ophthalmology while working as an ophthalmic technician. He then received an MS in Biotechnology from Rush University in Chicago before attending the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas.

While in medical school, Dr. Ward was able to combine his love of eyes and cutting-edge technology while conducting research on newly developed ophthalmic devices. He also dedicated himself to student wellness initiatives and the mentorship of underrepresented minorities. Dr. Ward is eager to venture out to the Pacific North West to complete his internship in Internal Medicine and Ophthalmology training at the University of Washington. In his free time, he enjoys fishing, camping, science fiction novels, craft breweries, and new foods.
