Biography

Dr. Im was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. She attended the University of California, Santa Barbara, and graduated with a B.S. in Microbiology. Soon after graduation, she moved back home to attend medical school at USC's Keck School of Medicine. She completed her M.D. training with an extra year dedicated to ocular oncology research as a Wright Foundation Scholar. She found her passion for vision research, global health, and ophthalmology during her medical training. Apart from work, Dr. Im enjoys camping, reading, and cooking for friends and family.
