Dr. Johnson Huang was born and raised in Taichung, Taiwan, along with his two older siblings. He immigrated to Seattle at age 11 with his family. He received his undergraduate education at the University of Washington and continued on at the University of Washington medical school. After the first two years of medical school in Spokane, WA, he traveled throughout the WWAMI states for the rest of his clinical rotations. This was when he developed an interest in ophthalmology. He conducted work in cataract surgery refractive outcomes and resident sleep and burnout. Outside of work, Dr. Huang enjoys hiking and backpacking, traveling, cooking, and playing disc golf.
