Biography

Dr. Kushner-Lenhoff is originally from Long Beach, California. He attended the University of Southern California in Los Angeles and graduated with a BS in Electrical Engineering and a minor in Mathematics. He developed his technical skills as an avionics intern at SpaceX before continuing his education at the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine.

He was fascinated by the combination of surgical precision and rapid innovation that defined ophthalmology and dedicated a year to research in retinal imaging as part of his medical school experience. He also has a passion for education and was strongly involved in peer tutoring and teaching at his school. He is thrilled to come to Seattle and experience all the Pacific Northwest has to offer as he continues his training as an intern and at the ophthalmology program of the University of Washington. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, running, following world events, reading science fiction, and playing board games.
