Biography

Dr. Hoyer was born and raised in a suburb of Chicago. She graduated from University of Wisconsin - Madison with a B.S. in biology and psychology. Subsequently, she moved to Chicago where she attended medical school at Northwestern’s Feinberg School of Medicine. There, her interest in ophthalmology grew as she saw the impact microsurgery can have on patients’ lives and well-being. Dr. Hoyer is thrilled to be moving to Seattle to complete her internship and ophthalmology residency at University of Washington, while experiencing life in the PNW. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, snowboarding, working out, reading, and exploring new food and coffee spots.
