Biography

Dr. Bains was raised in Windsor, ON, the southernmost city in Canada and directly bordering Detroit, MI. He later moved to Vancouver, BC and attended the University of British Columbia, where he fell in love with everything the PNW has to offer. After deciding to pursue a career in medicine, he moved to Boston, MA to complete his master’s degree in medical sciences and attend medical school at Boston University. He initially developed his interest in microsurgery through his time with the otolaryngology department, and ultimately found his passion for ophthalmology. Dr. Bains is thrilled to return to the Pacific Northwest and complete his training at UW. In his free time, Dr. Bains enjoys snowboarding, playing classical guitar, and finding hip spots for coffee.
