David Mundy, MD
Overview
Undergraduate: Stanford University, BS, Biology
Medical School: Stanford University School of Medicine, MD
Internship: University of Michigan, Department of Internal Medicine
Residency: University of Michigan, Department of Ophthalmology
Biography
Dr. Mundy grew up outside Kansas City and attended Stanford University, where he studied biology and competed as a springboard diver on Stanford’s NCAA Division I men’s swimming and diving team. He remained at Stanford for medical school, where his work in tumor immunology and regenerative ophthalmology converged with a growing appreciation for how profoundly vision shapes patients’ independence, identity, and quality of life. He completed his internal medicine internship and ophthalmology residency at the University of Michigan, and aims to advance vision-restoring therapies through clinical practice and translational research.
He enjoys discovering new music, playing saxophone, watching anime, scuba and springboard diving, and learning about food and wine.
