Biography

Dr. Dabundo earned his B.S. in neuroscience from Washington State University before completing his optometric training at Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia, PA. There, he also completed internships at Wills Eye Hospital and Philadelphia VAMC, working with Jefferson and UPenn ophthalmology, respectively. He then completed his optometric residency in ocular disease in Wilmington, DE, at the Wilmington VAMC, working with Temple University ophthalmology.

Prior to joining the UW Eye Institute at Harborview, Dr. Dabundo worked in private practice optometry in the Seattle area, providing comprehensive eye care to diverse patient populations.

Dr. Dabundo joined the UW Medicine Eye Institute as a triage optometrist to provide urgent eye care to patients with new-onset ocular symptoms and appropriately route them to specialty-care ophthalmology, as needed.

Outside of work, he enjoys exploring the Pacific Northwest via hiking, skiing, and general aviation as a private pilot.
