Biography
Dr. Nguyen attended UCLA, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology. He received his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health and completed a residency in Ophthalmology and a fellowship in cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery at the University of California, San Francisco.
In his free time, Dr. Nguyen enjoys hiking and mushroom hunting with his family and delights in exploring tidepools at the beach with his two children.

Clinical Interests
As a cornea and external disease specialist, Dr. Nguyen focuses on managing conditions affecting the front of the eye. His clinical interests encompass inflammatory and infectious corneal diseases, as well as degenerative corneal conditions. Dr. Nguyen is adept in performing various procedures including cataract surgery, pterygium surgery, ocular surface tumor excision, and all types of corneal transplants.
Research Focus
Dr. Nguyen is interested in researching the psychological and financial impact of severe infectious corneal diseases, particularly Acanthamoeba keratitis. Additionally, Dr. Nguyen focuses on utilizing various imaging modalities to enhance the diagnosis and understanding of corneal conditions.
